FAQ
Classes
Code 401 courses take intermediate developers and train them in a specific programming language (plus tools and best practices) to help them land high-paying jobs in the tech industry. Graduates of Code 401 courses are ready to hit the ground running as full-blown software developers in tech companies or startups of their own.
In-person training serves multiple purposes. It teaches students how to work together in a team, makes it much easier to sustain the intensity and pace of our program, and gives students direct access to instructors and classmates.
For more information and for the exact schedule, please visit the Code 201 Night and Weekend page.
Class time focuses on lectures, whiteboard practices, and “reverse classroom” discussions about your code. Lab time spent in group projects, on 甘肃快3走势图work, and getting one-on-one help from instructors and TAs.
Project weeks deviate from this schedule to focus on your group projects. This is an opportunity to work with other students on a larger project that adds to your experience and resume. You and fellow classmates work in the co-working space with instructors, co-instructors, and TAs nearby.
The course uses additional textbooks and online readings, lessons, and tutorials, plus various assignments and quizzes. Group projects and pair programming also add to your experience and education.
Throughout Code 401 courses, students also hear from guest speakers or learn from our Career Development curriculum.
Students receive a specified number of points for assignments, quizzes, projects, participation, lighting talks, and/or other deliverables during the program. Program instructors maintain and update point totals throughout the program such that students can log in to the system and view their scores.
Instructors do not assign grades on any curve or adjusted system; all points are assigned completely based on completion of assignments and quality of work and energy invested.
For example, students with less than 70% of available points in a course can be excused from the program. Students between 70% and 90% may be given a verbal or written warning, if it appears they will have difficulty in completing the course.
Career Development & Careers
This process is even faster for students who already have some personal or on-the-job training in programming. If you are an absolute beginner, start learning to code in Code 101 or Code 201.
While placement training and service may be provided, the school cannot promise or guarantee employment to any student or graduate. The DeltaV Code School is not accredited by a U.S. Department of Education-recognized accrediting agency, and as such any credits earned at the school may not be able to be transferred to accredited schools and may not qualify students for employment.
